Thanksgiving

We had a good Thanksgiving. Yesterday we had 11 people over for dinner. 9 single soldier, and Ricky's parents were in town to see him before the deployment and they joined us for dinner as well. We had a great time. The food was good and while it is always hard to be away from family on the holidays we all had a great time together.  After the food the guys enjoyed watching Band of Brothers, playing Mario Bros. Wii, and then we all gathered back around the table for a game of Apples to Apples (even with cheaters it was fun).
Somehow I managed to forget to make the stuffing (I had everything to make it and intentions to make it, I just forgot about it until I had sat down to eat), so because of that I was given a 9.5 on dinner from the guys. So forgiving of them!
I was worried about having enough food for all the guys, but everyone had a full belly, until about 8pm at which point my refrigerator was raided. :)
Gunnar enjoyed himself a little to much. The entire day he only slept for about a total of 45 minutes. I was sure he would sleep good last night, but he finally passed out at about 11pm and slept good until 1, then about every hour he was waking up. He was up for good at 7:30. Lucky me considering I did not get to bed until after 1am. For now though it is okay to be awake as we enjoy our final few days with Kyle.
Kyle wants to brave the PX, not for deals but for some last minute things he needs before he leaves. Hopefully the Black Friday crowd has passed as I am pretty sure the PX was open at 6 this morning.

Here is the crew chowing down. I will start with Kyle and go clockwise around the table:
Kyle, Steven Ray StingRay, Stephen, Chris, Ben, Ricky, Terry, Sharon, Pat, Bobby, Jordan, Gunnar

I even bought Gunnar some Turkey and gravy, however he was not having it. When he doesn't like something he makes himself gag and throw-up...it is pretty nasty. He was happy to enjoy bananas and a bottle for Thanksgiving dinner.

Sounds like a good time. We all miss you, Kyle and the little dude. Laura, myself, Shawn and Caleb went to Priest River. I deep fried two birds, sweet potato Jo-Jo's, regular Jo-Jo's and hot wings. All was good and lot's of leftovers. Have to go back to clean up today.
