Date Night

Last night, Kyle went on our first date without a baby in tote since Gunnar was born. We went out to a nice dinner and then went ice skating. We had a lot of fun, and enjoyed our time together with just the two of us (even if I missed Gunnar terribly).
Our night started out interesting (as always when you are with my husband). Apparently he has never parrell parked before, so he was attempting, and failing and it just so happened the Polizei were behind us. Kyle just kinda pulled up on the sidewalk so they could get by. Next thing we know they turn around and park right next to us. Turns out we parked behind a car with a badly wrecked back bumper and they were determined Kyle did it. So they got out their flashlights and searched our car for damage. To their disappointment the bad driving American had not hit the car and they went on their merry way.
We enjoyed a good dinner and then hit the ice rink. Kyle used to be good at ice skating (according to him), and well I have never been good. We had a blast, made fun of each other a lot, and both managed to fall but walked away unharmed. I have never fallen on the ice until last night, I have Kyle to thank for my spill.
We came home to a tired and determined baby. He HATES going to sleep, it is like someone is torturing him when it comes bed time. Lately Gunnar has decided he doesn't need naps (but he most certainly does) and nap time has even become a battle. Mommy 90% of the time wins, but it gets very tiring. Even once I got him to sleep last night he had to wake up about 5 times before midnight before he was asleep for good until 8am.

Yesterday I was in the kitchen cleaning, I came out to check on Gunnar and found this. He looked at me and it was like he said "What mom? Suesse is watching me." He in 6 days shy of being 7 months old, I want him to still be my little baby that wants to be held and cuddled, but he is not having that!
