My mom and dad have now been here for about a week and a half. We have been having a great time, and are sad that they will have to go back home this coming Saturday. Gunnar and Ryker are enjoying all the attention and Kyle and I are enjoying our dishes and laundry being done, not to mention the extra help with the kiddos.
My parents got in on Sunday, Sept. 5. On Monday evening Julia (their former exchange student) and her boyfriend Erik came to visit as well. We had a full house, but enjoyed spending time with everyone. We couldn't really go much of anywhere with so many people and lack of vehicle space, but we did walk to the bowling alley and enjoyed laughing at each others amazing bowling skills. Kyle and I also took Julia and Erik to play "reball" which is paintball without the paint. Gunnar really took to Erik and was constantly crawling on his lap and wanting his attention.

On Friday, we headed out in the afternoon to Garmisch area with my parents. On Friday we stopped by Neuschwanstein Castle and we enjoyed walking around checking out the castles and enjoying the beautiful views.
Ryker snuggled up and snoozin' in the stroller.
Saturday we took my parents to the Linderhof Palace, Eibsee, and to check out the Zugspitz.
Sunday we drove two hours to Berchesgaden where they were able to see the Eagle's Nest and Kongisee. We rode a boat for about 2 hours on the Kongisee where Gunnar ensured that everyone knew of his presence.
Monday we hit up the Partnach-Gorge and Olympic Ski Stadium in Garmisch before we headed home. We had debated over going to Dachau, but the weather was very rainy and Gunnar was done being in the car and tripping around. We got home around 7:30pm on Monday. Gunnar went right to bed and we didn't hear from him again until 9:30am today. He also then took about a 3 hour nap this afternoon. He apparently had a lot of catching up on sleep to do.
Today we caught up on laundry and our sleep. Tomorrow Kyle is headed on the bus to Landstuhl and I think the rest of us will be heading to Bamberg which is about 40 minutes away. I need to see about getting a part for a stroller I want to sell now that I have my double stroller and I will take my parents to see the sites there.
That is pretty much all that is happening here. Ryker was at the doctor Friday and is up over 8lbs...I have this feeling he is going to be a bit chubbier than Gunnar ever was.
