Sweet Ryker is 1 month old.
He is proving to be such a laid back and easy going baby, which is a blessing. He loves eating and sometimes I think he would like to be permanently attached to me. Most nights he sleeps well, we usually go to bed at 10 then he wakes up between 2 and 3 and then sleeps until 6 for another feeding. He is then pretty much on a 3 hour schedule the rest of the day. He is still sleeping ALOT during the day, but each day spends a little more time awake and is becoming more and more alert. He only really cries when his brother has pushed the limits a little to far, when he is pooping, or has gas after a feeding.
Gunnar loves his little brother. He constantly wants to hold him, push him in the swing (which by the way runs on batteries and no pushing is required), and give him kisses (aka licks) any chance he can get close enough to Ryker to lay one on him. Gunnar is also my little helper and likes to give Ryker his pacifier (we are working on being a little more gentle about this and not just smashing into Ryker's face), pull the wipes out of the container for me at diaper change time, and throw the dirty diapers in the trash. However, for some reason he hates when I have Ryker wrapped in a blanket and will attempt to pull him out of it which is pretty dangerous when Ryker is swaddled in it. He also has become infatuated with Ryker's eyes. Whenever Gunnar sees that Ryker has his eyes open he attempts to poke them. He also doesn't really like when Ryker is breastfeeding and will attempt to push him away from me, which really doesn't make me to happy.
While we are learning to function as a family of 4, we are truly enjoying this precious addition to our family. While I would be lying if I didn't say I am challenged on a daily basis, so many things are coming much easier to me and I am able to be much more laid back about things with baby number two.
I love being the mommy of 2 boys and look forward to the adventures that await us both today and in the future!!!

Yeah for one month!! I can't wait to see the little guy on Tuesday, and the rest of the family too!!
