Things have been a little insane here. Last Wednesday I took Kyle to a doctor's appointment in Landstuhl. While there we also picked up our friend Steve's wife who recently got her command sponsorship and was just arriving in country hoping to get things set up for her and her husband before he returns from the deployment. Apparently no one knew she was coming from the unit and she was just here. No hotel arrangements, no housing. So, since last Wednesday we have had a roommate here at our apartment.
While we are trying to help her as much as possible, we have a lot of stuff going on in our own lives. Kyle has a report date of Oct. 25 to Fort Lewis. That means that between now and then we have to be completely cleared out of here. They usually give soldiers 12 working days to complete this task. That would mean we need our orders soon, usually people have them farther in advance. I feel like we should be running around like crazy people but really there is nothing to be done until we have orders....so we wait, and pray we get them tomorrow.
Today we had some fun around here, in between all the running around and craziness. I did some finger painting with Gunnar and then after dinner we all went to the park. Ryker has been chillin all day being a good little baby. I will post some pictures today because once we get orders I don't know how much time I will have, plus I also start up another master's class tomorrow. I would like to postpone it until we are all settled, but I used the last of some money the government gave me and I can't reschedule...I have taken 21 credits so far in my master's program and still have a 4.0, I am thinking this could be the end of my streak!

You guys... Elizabeth.... I don't know if I should be happy or sad for all of you! It's all great stuff for you, just stinks for those of us still stuck in Schweinfurt! Good luck getting ready in the next few weeks. I'll be there when you need me to take the kids for awhile, especially any time after school.
