Dedication and more

So this is late, but it is something that I wanted to get posted.

Kyle and I decided after a lot of prayer that we wanted to have Gunnar dedicated to the Lord, November 1, 2009 was the big day. A baby dedication is when Christian parents make a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child in a Godly way, prayerfully until the child  can make a decision on his or her own to follow God. Parents who make this vow of commitment are instructed to raise the child in the ways of God, and not according to their own ways. Some of the responsibilities include teaching and training the child in God's Word, demonstrating an example of godliness, disciplining according to God's ways, and praying earnestly for the child.

Our friends whose camera was used for the dedication ceremony also surprised me with other pictures on the CD that had the dedication pictures on it.
These are from the day Gunnar was born.

Oh to be so little and sweet. Today Gunnar got into the dog's water and food. Spilling both all over, and licking both the water and food I am sure. He also has this fake cough noise that he thinks is pretty funny to make and he is back to making his high pitched scream. I have decided I will clean tonight while he is sleeping, because I find it nearly impossible to get anything done during the day.
Here is what 7 months + 1 week do to a young boy...
Less than a day old, so sweetly sleeping

This is what I find now when Gunnar is suppose to be sleeping (nap time today).

Nate saw the pictures of Gunnar at his dedication and he said, "that's Lincoln!" Apparently I am not the only one who sees similarities. Both Ed and Nate loved to chew on the crib. There are little teeth marks all over it. L & R don't stand yet, but I am sure when they get through with it that there wont even be a railing left.
