Saturday Kyle and I took the long drive to pick up our new puppy. I have never spent so much money on a dog...all I can say is she better not die. Our German neighbor told us we got our puppy for a good price...haha, funny when we paid $18 at the pound for Suesse. Oma is a wired haired dachshund. She is 8 weeks old. She did pretty good her first night only waking up twice crying. We just gave me a little attention and he got quiet again and went back to sleep. Kyle took care of her once, then the next time he handed her to me...I think this is what the future may hold for me. She loves chasing Suesse around...Suesse acts scared of her and runs. Suesse is tolerating her, Kyle wants them to cuddle with each other, but not is not happening right now. Maybe with time. The neighbor kids had fun this afternoon carrying Oma around, they only dropped her once and she seems to have survived! Right now she is dragging her new stuffed animal that is the same size as her around.
We named her Oma (German for Grandma) because she is already getting her whiskers. The dogs look old even when they are young. Plus Suesse is German for "cutie" so we thought we should stick with the theme. Kyle will be out on the sidewalk calling "Oma" and he will have the puppy and a bunch of old ladies following him.
Are you my family??? I think she likes the shoes since they are the same size as her.
This is about as close as it comes to cuddling for the two of them.

OHHH gosh Beth, she is beautiful! I'm in love....ahhhhh! Too darn cute. Love the shots with the shoes, guessing it would feel slightly comfortable being around stuff the same size as you! ha! Hope you & your bump are doing wonderful! =)
