Tonight my girlfriends, Fran and Lacey put together a shower for me. It was really hard finding a time that was good for everyone, but a perfect little group of friends showed up. We all had a good time, and all the gifts were great. I was very surprised to find gifts from my sister, mom, and grandma in the lout. I couldn't read their cards or I was sure I would cry...sometimes it is harder than others to be so far away.
Thanks girls for putting on a great shower and thank you to those of you who came. I really appreciate each of you. You all make being away from home a little easier!

Lacey, Me, and Fran...thanks girls!

Miss you!
Beth this looks like fun! I'm glad you had such an awesome shower and great friends to be with. Miss you lots and wish I could have been there!
Hi, Beth! I've just read your blog and seen all the photos of you all. It was almost as good as being there with you.
I'm sorry about your lock-out in pajamas, but it sounds much like our lock-in. Snoop disappeared Monday morning when I went out to do some yardwork, and I simply could not find him. I ran way down into our "elbow" thinking he might have tagged along with neighbors who had gone into the "elbow," but Snoop was nowhere to be found. So I just started calling around the neighbors and even knocking on doors. I did hear some barking, but still there was no sign of Snoop until I knocked on a door across from us and saw big brown puppy eyes looking at me through the sheer curtains. Was I ever relieved, but nobody was home except Snoop until the homeowner showed up probably 45 minutes later. It seems Snoop slipped into the house with two teenagers he knows well; but when they left for the zoo, they forgot Snoop. What a relief to finally get him back! At least I wasn't out looking for him in my pajamas!:) I'm glad you finally made it home, too. Blessings on you, Beth, and Kyle as you welcome your baby into this crazy world! I'll be looking forward to seeing more photos of you all -- especially Gunnar out of utero! Love to you all! Aunt Charlotte
