Kyle and I have put a lot of thought into a name for our coming arrival. Having a name picked out takes a lot of stress off of me, and I like to be able to call my baby by name even before he is born.
So, we have decided on the first name Ryker. Neither of us are Danish or Dutch, but here is a low-down on the meaning....Danish-strong power, hardy power or Dutch-to become rich. We didn't pick the name because of the meaning, but just because we liked it and thought it fit. This naming business is hard!!!!
So, we have a first name and a last name (which was pretty easy to come up with), but we are still up in the air with a middle name. Gunnar's middle name is Max, after Kyle's grandfather. We would like Ryker to have a family middle name as well. Since we haven't been using family names for first names it is important to us to use them as middle names. So you all get to help us out a bit. Now, not many people leave comments anymore, so sad, but I do hope you will take the time to vote on our poll....we don't have much time before the little guy's arrival!!!

I have not voted! I am having a hard time deciding. It has taken so long to have a first name I need some time to think on what sounds good with the first name. By the way I like Ryker! Ryker Thomas Pettit, Ryker Paul Pettit, Ryker Henry Pettit, Ryker Albert Pettit and of course I can't remember the last one. RAP . . . hmmm the Albert could be for my great-grandfather too and Kyle's name and grandfather's name. It is hard . . . how long do I have until the polls close? So much pressure!
Poppa wants to know if Ryker means Dude in English. He hasn't voted either. But when I said Max - he said you already one of those!
I love the name! I think Thomas is a good fit! I put my vote in! Sure wish I would be around for Ryker's arrival! You'll be getting a visit from me in September! Hope the next few weeks go well for you!
So I was torn between Paul and Max...Max sounds really good with it but you already have Gunnar Max...I guess if you did Max you would have to do it for all your kiddos (cause I know you will have more) or Maxine if its a girl... but Paul works really well with it...
